Alcohols: can be produced by a direct conversion of synthesis gas into a mixture of alcohols which can be sold in the following formats:

Methanol (wood alcohol) has a molecular formula of CH₃OH. It is commonly used as an additive in making other chemicals. About 40% of methanol is converted to formaldehyde, and from there into products such as plastics, plywood and paints. Another usage is in the transesterfication of vegetable oils into biodiesel. 

Ethanol (C₂H₆O) is an alcohol that can be applicable for many uses including automotive fuel additives. It has traditionally been produced through fermentation.
